After trying on a set of sizing rings to find the best size for you, resizing involves cutting the ring at the bottom and spreading or shrinking, it as needed. It is soldered with real gold and re-polished so there is no visible join. It will look exactly the same.

The charge is $95 to go down, and $95 plus gold to go up.

There are two main reasons why chains break: They get caught and pulled. They’re old and have become thin from wear.

It’s usually only worth fixing a chain if it was pulled apart. If a chain is too old and thin, it will just keep breaking, even after being repaired. We’ll check the entire chain for wear to help you decide if it’s worth fixing. We don’t want you to spend money on something that won’t last.

Bezels & Claws (also known as prongs in America) are the crucial metal components that hold the stones in place within your jewellery. These settings are vital to the integrity of the piece, so regular inspections and maintenance are the best insurance you have against loss.

Claws may catch on something and pull away from the stone or they can move out of place due to being knocked. Claws can also just wear away over time so re-tipping before they get too bad is the best way to secure precious gems.

In many cases, the loss of a stone is due to its setting being worn away or damaged. Unfortunately, this means extra metalwork needs to be done to reset the new stone. If the replacement stone needs to match the remaining stones in your design, it can become more challenging. Our expertise comes into play as we carefully match the colour and shape of the stones.
